ABOUT US HISTORYANGLICAN CHURCH

Anglican Church

Melbourne Grammar School is an Anglican School whose origins lie in the history of the Church of England in Victoria. It was founded by the first Bishop of Melbourne, Bishop Charles Perry.

While we embrace Christian philosophy and students attend regular chapel services, we warmly welcome families from a broad range of religious and cultural backgrounds. The School values the examination of religious, moral and ethical issues and encourages students to explore and share their beliefs. Tolerance and compassion are promoted through all aspects of School life.
