The third week of Term III was Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Week, with the Senior School participating in a number of events and activities that reflect MGS's language programme. On Monday, Chinese was the focus, with film and food on the screen and menu, while on Tuesday it was Japanese and a workshop and quiz challenging students. It was more food and another quiz on Wednesday for those interested in tasting German fare, while education was the focus for Thursday's Latin celebrations, with a lecture. LOTE week wrapped up with a crepe cooking class on Friday, for which students wished themselves a "bon appetit". |
LOTE week is also a chance to for the School to acknowledge the contributions of the overseas exchange students who are at the School during Term III. There are three students from Montgomery Bell Academy in the United States, as well as students from France, Germany and Japan, many of whom are being hosted by Melbourne Grammar School families. |
