Congratulations to six Old Melburnians who received Premier’s Awards for their outstand achievements in their 2011 VCE studies. Melbourne Grammar School’s top results were officially recognised at a ceremony honouring Victoria’s 26 Top All-Round VCE High Achievers. A total of 317 awards were given to 283 students. Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu (OM 1971) congratulated the students on achieving such exceptional results in their final years of schooling. 2011 MGS students (pictured left to right): Andrew Belyea-Tate, Walter Myer, Cameron Venus, Fergus Peace, Edward Pennington and Colin Liu were proudly displaying their awards following the ceremony on Wednesday 27 June. |
Andrew won for his Philosophy and Classical Studies, Walter for English and being recognised as one of the Top All-Round High Achiever, Cameron for being another one of the Top All-Round High Achiever, Fergus for Latin and Philosophy, Edward for Philosophy and Colin being one of Top All-Round High Achiever. Awards were presented in the following categories: Top All-Round High Achievers , Top Three International Students and Study Awards (students must have a study score of 46 or above to be eligible). The School congratulates the six on their awards. |
