MGS marks its Sesquicentenary on Foundation Day with the opening of The Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership Melbourne Grammar School paved the way for a new generation of Australian leaders when it opened its unique Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership. The world class learning space was dedicated in a ceremony marking the School’s Sesquicentenary, 150 years since Melbourne Grammar’s Foundation Day on 7 April 1858. The ceremony included a re-enactment of the School’s first ever assembly, performed by students dressed in traditional costume. Guests were also invited to tour the Centre and view technological demonstrations and displays by Melbourne Grammar students and the Australian Centre for Moving Image (ACMI).
