As with most organisations Melbourne Grammar School has a set of values. It is not only important for us to be aware of what these are, but also how we can put them into action for the benefit of the broader community.
Over time Melbourne Grammar School has worked to establish a range of meaningful service programmes. It is not only important that different individuals and organisations receive our support, but through their involvement in these programmes our students learn more about the various issues that affect their community, whether it be local or global.
The service model that we have adopted relies on a partnership approach. We seek to work with agencies who are serving those in need in the wider community. While some of our programmes focus on fundraising, an increasing number require our students to volunteer their time rather than just give money.
Our service programmes can be categorised into at least one of the following areas:

Aligned to our service programme is the Community Speaker Series which aims to highlight relevant and topical issues within our community. Inspiring speakers with a unique story to tell are invited to present at these events which take place once a term. Keep an eye out on our home page for details of upcoming speakers.
All of our service programmes require ongoing financial support. Your donation could help build a house in Cambodia, fund medical supplies in Papua New Guinea or provide learning resources to a child in a local homework club.
