SENIOR SCHOOL CURRICULUMCURRICULUM YEARS 9 AND 10

Curriculum Years 9 and 10

The curriculum at Years 9 and 10 is divided into units each of one semester's length. Students at Years 9 and 10 study 28 units over two years.

In Year 9 students undertake a core curriculum but have the freedom to make choices about elective subjects. Semester electives such as Film as Text, Rockets and Robotics and History of Espionage allow students to try a range of subjects before making final selections for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) in Years 11 and 12.

Several Units allow the possibility for both Year 9 and 10 students to study together.

All students participate in the Outdoor Education and co-curricular programmes which not only enhance and balance academic subjects but help to develop our young people into confident, independent leaders and decision makers.
