Melbourne Grammar’s Senior School campus is centrally located in South Yarra, opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens, playing fields and parks. The Senior School caters for some 800 boys including around 100 boarders.
The school is five minutes by car from the CBD and 30 minutes from Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport. We are well serviced by all forms of public transport which a majority of students use daily. There is easy access to the city’s main cultural and sporting venues.
Highly qualified and experienced teachers offer a challenging educational programme, comprising core and elective subjects ranging across nine key learning areas. Excellence is one of our key values and our teachers foster within our students a keen desire to achieve academically, resulting in outstanding results at the VCE level. |
Pastoral Care is another key priority. For administrative and organisational purposes each student becomes a member of a House. In all there are two boarding Houses and ten day boy Houses. Each House is run by a Head of House supported by a number of House Tutors. Boys display enormous loyalty towards their respective House.
In sport and cultural activities (such as Music and Theatre) we strive to achieve at the highest levels too. We encourage all our students to develop their skills and talents to the highest order.
Life at Senior School is designed to help students become self-reliant, capable young adults able to navigate the challenges of tertiary study and vocational choice. We trust that all our boys will become valued members of an increasingly global community, recognise their own intrinsic values as individuals and have the courage and desire to make a difference.
