GAP Assistant

Melbourne Grammar School has been approved as a Special Program Sponsor and as such we are able to sponsor participants from overseas for a Class T/E (Cultural/Social), Subclass 416 (Special Program) visa. The School to School Interchange Program at Melbourne Grammar School allows GAP Assistants to engage in a cultural and social experience, assist in a range of activities with our students. There will be opportunities for the participant to assist with various school programs, including sport, camps and some classroom activities, as well as immersing themselves in the wider cultural life of the school.

We have had a number of GAP Assistants over the past few years and they have thrown themselves into School life with great enthusiasm. Many of our past participants have taken advantage of being in a new country and have travelled interstate during school holidays.

This is an unpaid position, but the participant will receive an allowance per week to cover expenses. Furthermore, the participant will be provided with accommodation in a shared residence which is a short travel distance from the school, as well as meals in the school dining room during term time. Currently we have a vacancy for GAP Assistants from from the commencement of Term III (mid-July 2014) until the end of Term II (mid-June 2015) with exact dates to be confirmed.
