Andrew Mohl was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMP, Australia's largest superannuation manager. After graduating with honours in economics at Monash University in 1976, Mohl joined the Reserve Bank of Australia as an economic researcher.

He became Deputy Head of Research at the Reserve Bank and in 1983 was the first Australian economist to be seconded to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mohl then joined ANZ Banking Group as Senior Economist in 1986. There he held several senior positions including Group Chief Economist, Chief Manager Retail Banking, and Managing Director ANZ Funds Management. He was also a member of the ANZ Executive Committee.

In 1996 he joined AMP as head of AMP Financial Services Retail Distribution. He was then promoted to Managing Director AMP Asset Management and Managing Director of AMP Financial Services. In 2002 Mohl was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMP. He left AMP in January 2008.


Melbourne Grammar School marked its sesquicentenary in 2008. As part of the celebrations, a Talents Committed Exhibition was staged. This exhibition recognised 150 Old Melburnians who have made a difference to the City of Melbourne, the State of Victoria and the wider community in Australia and overseas.
