About the play

The Masters, has been adapted for the stage by Ronald Millar and is adapted from the book, The Masters, by CP Snow.  The novel won the 1954 James Tait Black Memorial Prize in England for fiction. Widely regarded as CP Snow’s masterpiece, this lucid and compelling story of the contest for the Mastership of a Cambridge college is the fifth book in CP Snow’s magnificent Strangers and Brothers sequence.

As the old master slowly dies of cancer, his colleagues and peers jostle for power. Ronald Millar adapted the novel for the stage and the play had a successful run at the Savoy Theatre and then transferred to the Piccadilly Theatre.

All are welcome to see the performances by a talented group of Old Melburnians.
