2026 General Excellence Scholarships are now open.
General Excellence Scholarships support students of exemplary work ethic and good character who would not otherwise be able to attend Melbourne Grammar School without the benefit of a scholarship.
Specific conditions may apply for each scholarship, however, generally these scholarships are for students who demonstrate:
- the ability to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the School
- an exemplary work ethic
- academic potential
- exceptional sporting promise in an APS sport
- community mindedness in the form of leadership and service
- they would not otherwise be able to attend the School without the financial support of a scholarship
These scholarships are available for day students and boarders, with the remission amount varying to cover partial tuition and/or boarding fees based on family need, the applicant, and the availability of scholarships each year.
