Melbourne Grammar School offers three types of scholarships on an annual basis:
- Academic scholarships
- Music scholarships
- Boarding scholarships
Please see the table below for selection criteria.
These scholarships are available to students who are already attending or enrolled at the School, and to new students.
Academic and Music annual scholarships are available to students entering Year 7 and Year 9. Applications for these scholarships close in January one year ahead of commencement. This means that, for students entering Year 7 or Year 9 in 2023, applications close in January 2022.
There is some flexibility in relation to Boarding scholarships. Depending on the circumstances, applications for Boarding scholarships may be received throughout the year. These may be offered from Year 7 to Year 11 students.
Once awarded, the scholarship benefit is normally provided to the recipient until the end of Year 12.
Boys studying on a student visa are ineligible for Melbourne Grammar School scholarships.
